Meizu M6se Mini Media Player

Ipod Movies: Should your requirements in an media player include thin and stylish, competitive specs, large capacity, a decent price and not an iPod then you may have found your perfect solution. Meizu's M6se is only 7mm thick (only half a mm more than the iPod nano), has an impressive 8GB Flash capacity and runs for only $130. It sports a nice 2.41″ QVGA display screen and supports playback of MP3, WAV, OGG audio and MPEG4, MPEG2, WMV9, H.263/264, and RM(VB) and video. You can also use a TV out jack to push those movies to your television at a 720 x 480 resolution. The battery will support up to 30 hours of music playback or 5 hours of video. The Meizu M6se also has a built-in FM tuner.Unfortunately we're going to have to wait a little while for this one since they aren't expecting to start shipping until Q4 of this year, but hopefully in time for the holiday season.

Using Aspyr Media's iQuiz Maker (also featured in Apple's article) players can create their own quizzes, or download the offerings of other iQuiz owners.Test your mastery of all things trivial with iQuiz, which comes loaded with four question packs: TV Show Trivia, Music Trivia, Movie Trivia, and Music Quiz 2. Answer a series of multiple-choice or true-false questions, but make sure you dont get three wrong or your game will end. You can even download a utility that allows you to create quizzes to share with friends (see Become the QuizMaster , below).

Ipod Movies: APPLE TV is here, and it promises to change the way you enjoy video just as the iPod changed the way you enjoy music, wirelessly streaming content from your computer to your home-entertainment system. But with movies and TV shows not yet available in the Australian iTunes Store, it might not seem very useful.Sure, you can use the AppleTV device to stream home movies, podcasts, movie trailers, songs and music videos, but without movies and TV shows it kind of defeats the purpose of video-on-demand, doesn't it?Well, just because Apple won't sell you the content yet doesn't mean you can't take matters into your own hands.

While the AppleTV uses the same Front Row interface as Macs, it can't play the same range of formats as Front Row, as you can't install plug-ins on to it like you can with a Mac.

The bad: MediaMate is one of the bulkiest PVP devices we've seen. Its resolution is grainy, the screen brightness is not adjustable, and the button layout is a little awkward. Files must be added using drag-and-drop transfer, with no support for DRM-protected media. The bottom line: Blue Raven's MediaMate is a Texas-size product with a down-to-earth price. Now, as loyal zombies of the small screen we all know that at some point the current season is going to come to an end and we have to wallow in the pig leftovers that are reruns and "new summer shows" all summer before our beloved TV lineups come back in the fall. There is a recent trend that disturbs me. Okay, all recent trends disturb me because I am old and set in my ways. But this one should disturb you too. I am, of course, discussing the TV hiatus. The networks will try to convince you that they are nodding their head back to the traditional "golden age" of TV where you would get weeks and weeks of original programming, some reruns during the holiday season, then continuous original episodes until the end of May.
