Apple's Success Is a Lesson in Corporate Strategy
Download Apple Ipod Movie: Apple Inc. is riding high. In the last quarter, it shipped almost 1.8 million Macintosh computers, sold 9.8 million iPod music players and its iPhonea revolutionary new product that went on sale in June after an almost hysterical media blitzis expected to reach sales of more than 1 million within the next three months, according to a recent Apple press release. Apple also claims that it has sold more than three billion songsdownloaded from its iTunes music softwareand has five million songs, 550 television shows and 500 movie titles for purchase, more than those offered by Amazon.com and Target."We are thrilled to report the highest June quarter revenue and profit in Apple's history, along with the highest quarterly Mac sales ever," said CEO Steve Jobs in a recent press release.
Families take home on the road
Download Dvd Ipod Movie: Jayme Sitzman said the choice was a no-brainer. Rather than fly, she and her husband, Mike, loaded up the kids, the DVD player, assorted movies, snacks, pillows, blankies, the giant Minnie Mouse that 2-year old-Hannah won't leave home without, 5-year-old Ethan's NASCAR collection and drove 10 hours from their home in Golden, Colo., to Las Vegas for a long weekend. The flight would have taken two hours.
Movies now tools for advertisers
Download Dvd Ipod Movie: There is at least one benefit to advertising I realized this summer if a movie starts at 7 p.m., you can show up 30 minutes late and not miss a thing because of all the previews. Actually its no longer only previews but actual commercials. No longer only slide-shows of local businesses, no longer subliminal messaging attempts to get you to buy $5 popcorn, but the same type of commercials you would see on television. The previews before a movie used to be sacred. It was the one redeeming event in the case of a movie flop at least the previews were good. Now in order to even get to the previews, you have to sit through at least 10 minutes of commercials. What used to be entertaining is now a tedious chore at best, a revolting display of capitalism gone wild at worst.
