Focus On Foreign Film With Satellite Tv

Foreign movie fans know that their best friend is the internet.  Over the course of the last few years it's become increasingly easier to get a hold of top of the line foreign films within a matter of minutes, all by just going online.  Whether looking to download, rent or buy, there are many more options available when the entire contents of the internet are at your fingertips.  The problem can be utilizing the right tools to gain access to a world of international and independent cinema.  Unfortunately, for areas of the US and of the world for that matter that are rural or remote, demographically and/or geographically speaking, there isn't always a guarantee of reliable high speed internet availability.  As those still working with dial-up know, if you live out of range of a communications station there is no chance of accessing terrestrial broadband service like DSL or cable.  Instead, dial-up users continue to live in a world where hard to find films are just simply out of reach.

Though 3D motion pictures would not become popular for another century, they were being made as early as 1890, when pioneer, William Friese-Greene, patented his 3D movie process. Friese-Greene's technology was too complicated for theatrical uses, but many filmmakers and studios were developing their own 3-D technology.

The Power of Love, the first 3D movie, debuted in 1922. Audience members wore anaglyph glasses, similar to the ones audiences wear today. The movie found no buyers, but aroused the public's curiosity, and a handful of them were made over the next several years. The Selwyn Theater in New York even installed specialized equipment for 3D movies, but they had to be made using a specific process, which never caught-on, so 3D movie-making languished over the next decade.
