Interest in mobile TV overshadowed by other applications

Transfer Ipod Movie: The first results from Canalys' new consumer mobility survey reveal some interesting attitudes and opinions from European consumers on a range of topics, including Apple as a mobile phone supplier, mobile TV services and GPS navigation in handsets.

The online survey was conducted in April among more than 2,000 employed, adult mobile phone users in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. - 51% of those surveyed expressed some interest in mobile TV, but a diverse range of content is required - Consumers are more open to advertising-supported services around location and communication than TV - 62% said it would be useful to have satellite navigation built into their mobile phone - Almost half the iPod owners in the survey said Apple likely to be considered for their next mobile phoneiPod owners receptive to Apple as mobile phone provider… Respondents were asked to rate how likely they would be to choose different vendor brands for their next personal mobile phone.

A rising junior at Springdale High School, Kasey maintains a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in pre-Advanced Placement classes. Next year, she tackles classes in the school's International Baccalaureate program. She was named an All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement Academy for this year's work in her English class.

Kasey joined the school's BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) team, helping create a robot for competition against other schools, and took classes in the engineering academy. She played a role in the school's spring musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and served on the SHS Student Council, helping organize and work dances and fundraisers. "She's in so many clubs," said Kasey's mom Angela Bassett.

Farmers Branch students to use iPods for bilingual education

Transfer Ipod Movie: Amongst the newly-funded programs are several that include using iPods for (bilingual) education: Listening to Learn: iPods for Bilingual Students - Kindergarten Bilingual kindergarteners will take home an Apple iPod shuffle. This will help language enrichment at home and those students struggling to master certain concepts.
