The iPod audio tour features an original musical score, ambient beats, and interviews with local people associated with the Garden. At times the tour becomes almost a meditation, as you walk among the flowers and trees, accompanied by the sounds of progressive strings and rhythms.

There's a new, hip way to explore the Boston Public Garden: with your iPod. Today the Friends of the Public Garden launched "The Public Garden Audio Tour", a self-guided iPod audio walking tour.

The iPod audio tour is available for free download at the Friends of the Public Garden website, and as a free podcast on iTunes. Visitors can also rent iPods at the Swan Boat ticket counter in the Public Garden.
