Heroes Season 2 Episode Guide – Episode 1
Heroes is back, and it's doing it again! The first season took hold of me and wouldn't let me go, and the second season isn't slouching either! If you weren't fortunate enough to catch the season premiere, here's a short catch-up for you.
"Four Months Later" is the episode's title, and that's when it all goes down. Dr. Mohinder Suresh is currently touring the country spreading warnings and garnering support for research about a deadly new virus that has arisen, and he is met by a man who identifies himself only as "Bob" and claims to work for The Company...and who has an interesting offer for Suresh.
Claire Bennet and family have just moved to another town and are trying to keep as inconspicuous as possible, but she soon finds that's easier said than done when she meets an inquisitive classmate with abilities of his own.
Matt Parkman and Mohinder Suresh have taken in Molly Parker, who has been having extreme nightmares about the one person who scared her worse than Sylar: the "Nightmare Man." Matt has more on his mind though, as Kaito Nakamura and Angela Petrelli have both received mysterious death threats.
With Peter missing after the explosion, Nathan Petrelli is convinced that his brother is alive somewhere. Haunted by guilt and dark visions, Nathan has pushed everyone away, drank himself into a slump and seriously needs a shave. Peter is indeed alive...but we find him handcuffed in a shipping container in Ireland, with no memories of who he is or what he can do.
Back in 17th Century Japan, Hiro finds himself in the middle of his most cherished story: the days of Takezo Kensei! However, the legendary Japanese hero isn't quite what you'd expect, and Hiro has his hands full figuring out how to deal with this latest surprise.
We are also introduced to a new pair of characters, Maya and Alejandro. Driven from their home and pursued by the police as murder suspects because of the accidental first release of Maya's ability to cause a sort of plague in all surrounding people whenever she gets extremely upset, the brother and sister are fleeing to America to try to locate Dr. Suresh in hopes of finding a cure.
This first episode is jam-packed with action and storyline, and would be a really hard one to miss. We can be absolutely positive that Heroes is keeping in the tradition of the first season, with wrenching cliffhangers and edge-of-your-seat wonders to make your jaw drop.
